It is time for the Republican party to take a new direction, one based on truth and a realistic assessment of America's situation in the 21st century. We must stop running and hiding under the bed every time liberals and Democrats scream "racism!" at us. We must stop being terrified to the point of paralysis by a word. Normal people have to start fighting back.

Why Not?
Why not Donald Trump for President?
Yes, I know. The man is a buffoon. Now look at all the others. These days we're lucky if a buffoon is all a presidential candidate is.
Donald Trump right now looks to be the best of a mediocre or downright bad lot. At least he has the balls to spit in Arianna Huffington's face, and I have a lot of time for anyone who does that.
He won't make it, of course. I think we all know we're going to be saddled with the ghastly Jeb Bush. But right now Trump is a refreshing anodyne to the crap that is generally force-fed down Republicans' throats.
Maybe if he gets elected president, Trump can be persuaded to get rid of that wretched John Boehner. [Sigh...]
